Who Let In the Mexican???

Here is a pic of me with my friend Ashley and her sister Julia on the set of Good Things Utah. Ashley was invited to a taping of the show when she won the Best Chocolate Recipe with her yummy Chocolate Truffle Cake.

Ed hadn't seen the pictures and I was showing him the pics and thought there was one thing wrong with the pic ... my hair is the wrong color, he then said, "Who let in the Mexican?" That made me laugh, so I had to share.

Provo City Half Marathon 4/05/08

I don't want this to turn into Ed's running blog, but hard to avoid. So, what did we do this weekend?.... Another run!!! Ed ran in the Provo City Half Marathon. He was going to try a different approach to running this half marathon. Ed was going to run this one really hard and push himself with a 7-8 minute mile pace and hoping to finish at about 1:45. I was going to meet him at mile 4 and mile 10 to provide him with his homemade "Protein Concoction" that was going to pull him through. I did my part, but his leg didn't cooperate. At mile 6 he got a bad cramp on his right calf muscle, which he has never had a problem with in the past which slowed him down. He still managed to finish at 2:05:54 in spite of this setback. Salt Lake Marathon in 2 weeks!!!!! (Get a different running outfit Ed) :-)

Canyonlands Half Marathon

Ed's second Half Marathon was the Canyonlands Half Marathon in Moab in March. He did awesome for not training as hard on this one. Official time: 2:03:32
He ROCKS!!!

The BIG 4-0 for Ed!!!

This is a big year for Ed. He has officially entered "middle age". I think he is looking pretty good for a 40 year old, but don't men age better? Not fair. But I am subscribing to Oprah's life philosophy, it only gets better. Yeah Oprah!
