I had a 2 hour run yesterday and I was so sore. My neighbor Christine said I should take a bath and she brought me over some rum chocolate and an Apple Beer. Add an Epsom salt soak and a few Advil.....the perfect remedy. This is going to be my "go to cure" for what ails me.
Last weekend Ed, my friend Christine and I ran in the Beat Beethoven 5K. It was way fun. I didn't beat Beethoven, nor did I expect to cause I'm very slow, but I had a personal record pace! Ed and Christine kicked butt!
We attended our first soccer game in the month of August for my Dad's birthday. We (except my dad) had never been to a professional soccer game and all I can say is WOW! We absolutely loved it! It was so exciting. We were impressed as to how fast moving the game was and athletic the players were. I think we may become REAL fans!
My parents were here visiting for about 10 days. It was really nice to have my parents here and to have my dad here for his birthday. Happy 69 & 70th birthday (Long story... he is biologically 70, but legally 69)!
I have been wanting to see Chris Isaak in concert FOREVER! And this was the year. He was fantastic! Quite a showman. Love love love him!!!! I can go on and on about how incredible he was but then Ed would get jealous.
Ed & I enjoying our preconcert picnic.
Chris came out into the audience, look how close he was, I really wanted to smooch him and hug him, but I was too scared!
We have had a super busy August, lots going on and I haven't had time to post everything. The following posts are an attempt to catch up on all our happenings. Brennan and I took advantage of $2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point. It was fun to spend time with Brennan and just hang out and do what he wanted to do. We spent several hours each Tuesday.
I am trying to update my profile on my blog. It is so BORING!!
I want it to be a little quirky, describe my situation in life, my challenges, my triumphs...yada yada.... I want it to be real, not some crap about how wonderful my life is...cause let's face it...it's been the $#&@s for the past 3 years! More to come....
